Ms. Fouzia Rizvi

Assistant Professor in Political Science

She joined this institution in June 2016. She has obtained her Master’s degree in Political Science, Goa University. She has successfully cleared the all India UGC NET exam in 2012 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Political Theory.

Her areas of interest are Political Theory, Western and Indian Political thought, Comparative Politics and Indian Constitution and Polity.

Ms. Rizvi has three years teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Dhempe College of Arts and Science. Under that capacity, she has coordinated and trained Students for several competitions such as Students Parliament Competition organized by Goa Legislative Assembly. Further she has also worked as an organizing Secretary and Co-coordinator for the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) sponsored Seminars on Human Rights titled “Human Trafficking – Dawn of New Slavery : Awareness and Sensitization Programme for Youth”. She has also organized numerous talks on various political issues.

She has presented a research paper titled “Redefining Patronage Bargaining and Distributions : A discourse on India’s New Political Economy” for the National Seminar on India’s Political Economy in Transition : The Crisis of Governance, Democracy and Development on 21st- 22nd December 2013 at Goa University.
